First of all you have No Contract Cell Phones that are offered by long standing companies. One in particular is Verizon. Basically you purchase any phone from them and they will activate it for prepaid use. There are a number of drawbacks to this however.

Basically you will be given a certain amount of time for which you can talk. Second, if you try to leave the area in which the phone was issued, then your minutes will be reduced drastically. For instance, if you had purchased two hundred minutes, they might actually be reduced to sixty if you were talking outside of the agreed upon vicinity.

Other cellular phone providers have better offers, for example they might offer you a certain amount of minutes for a certain dollar amount. There are even some prepaid plans that involve only text, meaning that you’ll be able to text all you want, but you won’t be able to call.

Then there are plans that permit you to call on nights and weekends but at no other time. This depends heavily on which company you decide to go through, and you can go to your preferred cellular phone dealer to see exactly what they are offering in the way of prepaid phones or save yourself the trouble and check out what’s selling online.

There are some providers that only offer prepaid services. Take for example the company Cricket. You pay one month in advance, and you pay for the plan that you have chosen. While there are plans, they are not set in stone and can be changed at any time. The only issue with this is that some of these providers will only work in a certain coverage area.

For those that tend to travel a lot, a No Contract Cell Phone might not be the best idea. For someone who tends to stay in the same area, this is definitely a great option. For the most part plans like this are cheap, and there is one just like it in nearly every area. No matter where you live, you are covered by one of these types of plans.

If that doesn’t sound like your cup of tea, then you could always try one of the other No Contract Cell Phones out there. No doubt you have seen them at some point on a trip through your local grocery store or at a department store. You’ve probably even seen these for sale at gas stations.

They’re usually in a blister pack, and sold by a major cellular phone dealer. These will come with a prepaid card which you can either recharge, or purchase a new one when you run out of minutes. These are very convenient, especially for those who need a cheap cellular phone. Sometimes these basic cellular phones can run as little as $20.00.

We live in an age where you can get all of your prepaid needs are met, and you can purchase a cellular phone just about anywhere. The same rules still apply however; as you spend more money on your phone and your plan you will find that you get better service.

It all depends on what you’re willing to spend and how you’re willing to spend it. Some would argue that going for a contract cellular phone is a much better choice, but in the end, that’s completely up to you. So if you think you’re interested in No Contract Cell Phones, there are plenty of great deals for these online for you to work out the details. Remember, no contract, no commitment!
